Wood

It was long time ago when I went to Kamena Gora for the first time. It was a cold November night, a clear autumn sky, silence and, of course, wilderness. Without a signal on my cell phone, I barely found a house where I could spend the next few days. That morning a pleasant host told me several stories about the famous Holy Pine tree and gave me instructions how to find the easiest path to see the tree. I checked the equipment, screwed the alarm, and fell sleep, thinking about everything I heard and a place where i am. Whenever I hear the words “Holy” or “Miraculous”, I become skeptical.  Then I didn’t know that my first visit will be the start of true friendship with this really incredible place …

I woke up easily, packed up and headed to the holy place. It was still night, clear night, full of stars. After a few kilometers  driving on macadam road, I arrived. It was easy to recognize the place where the famous Holy Pine tree is located. I drove with the car how much I could and start doing what I usually like to do: visit the location, clinging to the grass, find a place to sit, take some coffee and burn a cigarette. Then, the night began to turn into a day. And then it happened. The colors behind the mountains started to change. The eruptions of the surrounding mountains began to emerge from the fog that covered Prijepolje. The first sun rays were shining through the branches of a lonely pine. I’m on the high ground with which, I think, I can see half of Serbia! Magic !!! Nikon couldn’t stop flashing.

After this day, I visited Prijepolje and surroundings many times. I met a lot of beautiful people and my camera recorded many “magic moments”. I like to sleep in the quiet “forest house”. I’m always satisfied  with coffee and breakfast at Ljubisa’s house, like to visit Zvjezd and see Bogdan and his goat. Like talking with someone from Kijanovic house. Enjoy drinking coffee with Duska … Not a year passed that I didn’t have that “unstoppable” feeling inside me that I must go to the Holy Pine tree for at least one day. Take out coffee from the bag and burn a cigarette. Mostly record a lot of photos, sometimes just sit and watch. It’s worth! Believe me.

At the end, one more interesting thing … Every time I am telling people about this place or I sign a photo, I say “Holy Pine …”
What to do, people are people …

Sačekala me hladna novembarska noć, vedro jesenje nebo, tišina i naravno, nigde nikog.

Vedra i puna zvezda. Magija!!! Nikon nije mogao da prestane da “škljoca”.

Posle ovog dana, obišao sam Prijepolje i okolinu mnogo puta. Upoznao sam mnoge drage ljude. Vredi! Verujte mi reč.

I još jedna interesantna stvar…
